德国队主教练克洛普 defended his decision to announce two different squad lists ahead of the upcoming international match days. The team will participate in four matches during this period, and he explained the inclusion of Eintracht Frankfurt forward Ebun Taalib, who has a past connection with the Moroccan youth team and is now set to potentially make his debut for Germany.

Klopp expressed admiration for the 23-year-old player, who has had a strong start to the Bundesliga season, scoring three goals in three matches, thus gaining the attention of the new coach. During a press conference, he praised Taalib's performance, saying, "When I saw him play for Eintracht Frankfurt for the first time, I thought, 'Who is this player? Where did they find him?' There was no debate in the coaching staff; we immediately agreed: Yes, we have to call him up." Klopp noted Taalib's intelligence, especially in not falling into offside traps in the attacking third, highlighting his considerable talent.

Germany's roster for matches against the Netherlands (September 24) and Greece (September 27) differs from that for matches against Serbia (October 1) and Greece (October 4), with goalkeeper Dahmen (Augsburg) being the sole player on both lists. Klopp clarified, "We have not set a starting lineup or a bench. We want to win all four matches." He emphasized his objective of observing as many players as possible during upcoming training camps.

He mentioned earlier in July that he had a list of over 60 players. Decisions are still pending regarding certain selections, as Ter Stegen (34) will resume as the starting goalkeeper after a 15-month absence, although Dahmen’s inclusion in both squads suggests Klopp's preference for him. "He is a very talented goalkeeper, and I want to see more of him," Klopp stated.

The coach intends to rely on experienced players like Kimmich, who will wear the captain’s armband and is viewed primarily as a midfielder. Klopp noted, "We never discussed the possibility of him playing as a right-back. He is an experienced player and must be a role model. But we need to adapt to a new playing style. We still have tactical issues to solve, and I believe he will unleash his full potential."

The squad features 11 new players, with 16 players yet to earn caps for the national team. This transition is vital, injecting new energy into the squad. Klopp recounted that when he called up Conte, he laughed for two minutes, and he also surprised Mika Bahl, Felix Keidel, and Hannes Berens. Additionally, Freiburg has four players making the squad: Philipp Troy, Engelhardt, Max Rosenfeld, and Scherhant. Klopp remarked, "Freiburg has been performing very well lately. Every team has its own character, but everyone contributes. You can't buy a strong mentality, but you can develop it. Freiburg players have this mindset."
